About The Intern

  • Enthusiasm to learn about business, fashion, e-commerce, & manufacturing/production procedures

  •  Looking to have creative control on designs, patterns, promotional platforms (social media campaigns and photo shoots)

  • Prepared for the rigors and rewards of working at a fast-paced start-up and excited to hit the ground running on day one

  • Self-Motivated, detail oriented and have the ability to apply constructive criticism

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist Creative Director with conceptualizing, creating, and developing samples/prototypes

  • Develop Tech Pack for Manufacturing Process

    • Create sketches of garments

    • Develop construction specifications

    • Create Professional Portfolio

  • Pattern Making and grading specifications for new styles

  • Assist in the ordering and approval of fabric samples

  • Checks samples with Design or Production for adherence to specs, color, fit, fabric, and construction

  • Work with models on during fittings, fashions shows, and other promotional events

 

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in the Fashion Design department (preferred but not required)

  • Ability to work cohesively in a team or GroupThink environment

  • Experience in womenswear design, product development

  • Previous experience with woven’s and cut & sew knits (Portfolio of completed work required)

  • Experience with the apparel design process from concept to product

  • Strong Sewing Skills (Must demonstrate upon interview)

  • Strong understanding of garment construction

  • Ability to follow through on multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Strong time management skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Strong organization skills

  • Ability to work under tight timelines while managing multiple priorities.

  • Computer Skills: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Office; Excel is helpful.

  • Ability to travel occasionally
